Separation weights stay third-party and non-commercial. Everything else is QVI’s own code and ships in the same download.

Can I download QV1?
Yes. QV1 Evaluation is a free Windows download of the whole app: 4 AI stems, Drum Split (DSP), stem editing, DSP processing, a mixer, mix export, and projects.
Does QV1 upload my tracks?
Audio is processed locally and is not uploaded. The app goes online only to download models from a GitHub Release and to check for updates.
How is QV1 different from the free tools?
The free tools are browser extras for everyday files. QV1 Evaluation is the free Windows app: 4 AI stems and Drum Split (DSP), plus editing and mix tools.
Who owns the separation model?
The 4 AI stems use third-party BS-RoFormer weights (ZFTurbo). The license is not stated by the author and the weights were trained on MUSDB18. They are non-commercial. Drum Split and the other tools are QVI’s own code and are included in the free Evaluation.
